Don’t Fight Nature

February 2011   |   Waggonner & Ball Architects

"Waggonner is leading a veritable Enlightenment salon of thinkers to question every aspect of moving water in and out of New Orleans, and to reestablish the connection between residents and this most basic of resources."

Entitled "Don't Fight Nature," the story chronicles Waggonner & Ball's Dutch Dialogue intitiative, beginning with Senator Mary Landrieu's fact finding trips to the Netherlands in 2006. The firm's sustainable water planning work in the Lafitte Corridor and designs for floodwall-free outfall canals are also highlighted.
