Snellings-Landrieu Residence
Washington D.C.
Construction of this new residence for a Louisiana Senator, her husband and family on Capitol Hill was completed in 2002. Located on a double lot on East Capitol Street that had been empty for almost 40 years, the design response addresses the unusual width of the lot, the disparate heights of the buildings directly adjacent, the challenge of creating a new building in the Capitol Hill Historic District, and the public and private needs of the family.
