Popp Fountain Reception Hall

The firm has designed a reception hall adjacent to City Park’s historic Popp Fountain to replace one destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. The new 8000 sf, $2.5M facility is composed of four forms: an engineered tent reception hall supported by three one-story permanent structures housing a bride’s suite, an outdoor service bar, public toilet rooms, storage and kitchen areas. Sited on axis with the classical fountain, the reception hall will be bordered with pergolas on the south and west with a generous patio area spilling out onto a landscaped lawn for outdoor events and concerts. Completion is anticipated in June 2011.
