Trinity Episcopal Chapel
New Orleans, LouisianaIn 2004 the firm was commissioned to renovate Trinity Episcopal Church’s chapel. The existing space had been infested with termites as a result of dampness wicking up the soft masonry walls of the original, circa 1852 structure. New millwork to match the original oak paneling and new lighting were installed throughout. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the office designed a new slate roof for the main church structure along with improvements to Trinity Episcopal School’s Gymnasium, also damaged in the storm.
A master plan was developed for the entire church campus in early 2005 which outlined future improvements to various church and school facilities. The firm has also provided consultation on a redesign of the church’s undercroft, a new Mission House and improvements to Trinity Counseling Center.
