Bossier City Master Plan
Bossier City, Louisiana
Major items of the Master Plan adopted in 1995 include transportation infrastructure improvements, street widening and improved traffic circulation, a new town square, a downtown educational campus, an entertainment district and the development of 100 plus acre riverfront park. The Riverfront Development District of Bossier City is the location for Louisiana’s most successful riverboat gaming industry. In 1998 and 1999 the framework for improvements put forth in the 1995 Plan was reconsidered, and validated. The nature of place and community were addressed, and specific recommendations concerning land use, transportation and access, a downtown campus for Bossier Community College, entertainment activities and locations, the town square, recreation and green space, residential impacts, and an implementation program for improvements.
